On Friday, February 13, and Saturday, February 14, a training session was held for 17 volunteers who will take on the challenge of becoming Youth Brigade Instructors, marking the official start of the training program planned for 2026. The event was opened by Second Commander Camilo Benavides, who emphasized the importance of preparing leaders capable of guiding new generations with responsibility, dedication, and a sense of institutional commitment.
The training covered fundamental content for the role of instructor, addressing topics such as adolescent psychology, the legal framework and internal regulations of the Youth Brigades, a play-based methodology with a Scouting approach, and strategic planning tools. These training pillars aim to strengthen both the technical and pedagogical skills of future instructors, promoting dynamic, accessible teaching that aligns with the needs of young people.
The institution recognizes and values the commitment demonstrated by the Firefighter Training School and the Command Team, whose sustained work reflects a commitment to advancing the continuous improvement of training processes.
Finally, best wishes for success were extended to the 17 instructors in this new challenge, with confidence that their work will be key to training upright, well-prepared, and community-committed firefighters.
