In Puente Alto, on September 29, 1936 (at 12:00 p.m.), the following individuals gathered at the home of Mr. Rafael Bascuñán Pinto: Rafael Bascuñán Pinto, Carlos Sotomayor Orrego, and Luis Vásquez Castillo, representing the First Fire Company; and Mr. Julio Bustamante, representing the Second Fire Company “Marcos Pérez Insunza.” Duly authorized by both companies, they deliberated on the formation of the Command that would govern the Puente Alto Fire Department.
There was a brief discussion in which all those present shared their views, resulting in the following unanimous agreement:
1.- The Command of the Puente Alto Fire Department (composed of two Companies) is hereby formed.
2.- Its first Board of Directors shall be composed as follows:
Superintendent Rafael Bascuñán Pinto.
Commander Luis Vásquez Castillo.
Secretary Humberto Pizarro Rodríguez.
Treasurer Ángel Carrasco Muñoz.
Director of the First Company Carlos Sotomayor Orrego.
Director of the Second Company Julio Bustamante Pinto.
3.- This Board of Directors is provisional and shall draft the Bylaws and Regulations by which the definitive Board shall be governed, for which it has until November 30 of this year.
4.- The members of this Provisional Board of Directors who currently hold an officer or other position in their Company shall not lose it and shall continue to perform their duties as usual.
5.- Each representative of each company shall report to their respective company at the first company meeting held or by convening a special meeting for this purpose, regarding the formation and resolutions adopted by this Board.
6.- These minutes are signed in triplicate, one copy for each company and the original for this Command.
